Hello! It’s me, Nick Johnson and my pronouns are he/him/his. I grew up in a small town in southern Indiana, right across the river from Louisville, KY. From elementary school, my love for performing ignited and flourished through my educational years. I received my BFA in Musical Theatre from Ball State University, graduating in 2019. Since then I have been constantly moving and evolving in many aspects of my life.

After graduation, I worked at Walt Disney World in Florida as a Children’s Activities Host. A rewarding and playful time in my life. I loved the sunshine and the families I interacted with all made the experience a truly magical one. Soon after, I hopped on Norwegian Cruise Line as Cruise Staff. Entertaining passengers from sunup to sundown on the high seas.

I moved to Chicago in the summer of 2021, initially for a two month sublease that quickly turned into an indefinite move, and I couldn’t ask for a better turn of events. Since relocating, I found a home in the theatre community as well as the group fitness community. When I am not singing, dancing, and acting, I am a full time Flexologist at StretchLab. I aid clients in one on one assisted stretching to help eliminate pain and literally push them to reach their flexibility goals. I am also a Pure Barre instructor! Pure Barre was one thing that got me through the pandemic, and it pushed my body so much as an athlete and a dancer so much that I decided to teach! I love staying busy, as you can tell.

In my free time, which I am still able to create time for, I am an avid cook- creating new recipes that change slightly every time I make them. My favorite ingredient would have to be tomatoes because they are so versatile in taste and texture. I am also very crafty, a jack of all trades in activities that I can do with my hands; painting, sewing, tie dye, embroidery. I enjoy challenging myself with new experiences.

Now that you know a little more about me, take a look at the rest of the site to get a sense of my theatre style and find excerpts from the projects I’ve been so blessed and excited to work on. Below you can download my resumes!
